Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 TBSP. unsalted butter, softened
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground allspice
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 pounds Honeycrisp or Golden delicious apples shredded
1 cup pecan toasted and chopped
Caramel Sauce to drizzle
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth
- Add flour, cinnamon, allspice baking powder and salt in batches into the butter mixture
- Stir in shredded apples and bake in prepared pan (butter and flour a sheet pan or 13 x 9 pan low edges.
- Bake approx. 55 minutes, cool cake in pan.
- Frost with cream cheese frosting and top cake with toasted pecans and caramel sauce drizzle
