.Did you know the average plate of buffalo wings carries about 1,500 calories? The good news is we can still enjoy this “guilty pleasure” while also cutting the calories in simple ways.
PREP:
I buy boneless chicken breasts every Tuesday at the Fresh Market, cutting them into strips and freezing them until needed.
When I’m ready to make my strips, I thaw my cut chicken, patting it with paper towels to soak up moisture.
Season the chicken with garlic salt and fresh ground black pepper, then dip them into flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Shake off any excess.
COOKING DIRECTIONS:
Heat 1/4 cup canola oil in large pan. Add chicken and sauté about 1 minute per side. Turn. When golden on each side drain on paper towel. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Place strips in baking dish and finish cooking. About 6 minutes. Remove from oven and toss in favorite sauce.
Top with cilantro yogurt sauce.
