Ingredients:
6 leeks, thoroughly cleaned, white parts only and sliced in half lengthwise
6 tbs extra virgin olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup dry white wine
Directions:
- Place the leeks in a braising pan with extra virgin and cook for 5 minutes on each side on a medium heat. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the wine, cover with a lid and keep cooking for another 5 minutes. Check color and texture and then carefully flip them upside down repeating step 2. Once tender to the fork remove from pan and serve hot.
