Eat your fruits-fresh yogurt and honey dipping sauce.
Condiments are high in sugar. Think about fresh salsa as a topping and avoid the cheese on the burger-mustard a MUCH better choice.
Salad dressings are loaded with chemicals and fats—try a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and red wine vinegar. Balsamic is high in sugar.
Quinoa salad instead of potato salad (quinoa salad is high in protein and low fat- doesn’t require mayo.
Chopped Greek Salad with watermelon and mint
Use feta as a garnish instead of tossed in the whole salad. Toss with sea salt and fresh ground pepper, zest of lemon and red wine vinegar and a drizzle of olive oil. So refreshing!
Boneless grilled chicken that has been marinated in a Mediterranean style of olive oil, lemon juice, oregano and kosher salt and fresh ground pepper with a pinch or crushed red pepper.
Grill and serve with shredded zucchini and summer squash instead of pasta.
Use lettuce leaves as the “bun”. Go ahead and eat that burger, but remember bison is leaner. Make your bun out of lettuce leaves and thin slices of tomato.
