Sometimes the easiest dishes impress your guests the most. I often serve a sweet potato or baked potato bar with several themes of flavor
3 roasted sweet potatoes (roasting in the oven brings out the sweetness).
Top one with cinnamon/sugar mixture and dried cranberries, apple butter and candied pecans or walnuts (vision of fall flavors and Thanksgiving).
Top another sweet potato with buffalo mozzarella, marinara sauce or salsa and fresh minced basil, a summer delight with a glass of rosé.
The classic topped with Irish butter, sour cream, truffle salt and of course a little chopped apple wood smoked bacon.
